WIENER PRIVATBANK & VELVENOIR enjoyed with their clients, collectors and experts curated art evenings and private dinner during the international art fair vienna contemporary at Galerie Lisa Kandlhofer
During the international art fair Vienna contemporary VELVENOIR and Wiener Privatbank welcomed guests for an intimate yet private art evening and dinner at Galerie Lisa Kandlhofer. A curated and conceptual event series, allowing clients to explore, interact and meet the world of art in a personal yet new manner. Yet behind the closed doors of the gallery, one can find emerging art from England, which was curated by Robert Sheffield. The group show “It’s not there till it´s there” featured art from Simeon Barclay and Hannah Perry as well as a project room from artist Tiago Tebet. On both days, invited guests, collectors and clients enjoyed a cocktail evening with a private wine tasting by Goedwinemakers as well as a family style art dinner prepared by Chef Bjoern Necas, personal speeches about the collaboration and background behind as well as network opportunites, made those events one of a kind.
“I´m truly thrilled about the outcome of both days, since we not only welcomed guests from Austria but also from Germany, the Middle East, France and United Kingdom to join us for those selected gatherings. The feedback we´ve received so far is outstanding and everyone enjoyed exploring the art exhibition throughout those events, network and interact with like-minded guests from various backgrounds. With our strong partners, we were able to host such events, therefore I would like to them again for being part of this concept. Those events were the first one of many and I do plan on hosting more to create new opportunities for aspiring collectors or anyone who wants to acquire art to be able to explore and enjoy it in a more personal set up, with experts supporting you through this exciting art journey.” – Alexandra Schafer, Founder VELVENOIR
An open dialog with exhibiting artists such as Simeon Barclay who attended the art dinner on Friday, gallerist Lisa Kandlhofer and international experts within the arts who joined from VELVENOIR, finance experts from Wiener Privatbank and hospitality were another focus, guests networked in a more “personal way” and shared valuable insights into various markets.
“We truly enjoyed the art encounter in the gallery with our clients – the atmosphere was one-of-a-kind and everyone was thrilled getting together and meet artists within this uniquely organised setup.” – Eduard Berger, Advisory Board Wiener Privatbank.
‘It’s Not There Till It’s There’ a duo show by British artists Hannah Perry and Simeon Barclay; curated by Robert Sheffield. Both artists have recently been shown at major UK and foreign institutions including the Tate Britain UK, The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art UK, The Jerwood Gallery UK (Simeon Barclay) and Kuenstlerhaus Graz Austria, Somerset House UK, and the Arsenal Art Contemporain, Canada (Hannah Perry).
The Title ‘It’s Not There Till It’s There’ was a quote taken from Simeon Barclay about the nature of the creative process, a feeling Hannah Perry also shares when it comes to making her own work, it felt like an apt common bond to unite these two prominent young artists work and enjoy the entire exhibition with our clients to during viennacontemporary in a private yet personal setting.
