Your new party planning BFF is here, Coterie Party officially launched yesterday, February 20th, to rave reviews. Gone are the days of piecing together themes on Amazon, or rushing to Party City day-of for the perfect plate for your garden party, Coterie will be there to save the day.
The company was created by two #bossbabes who are no stranger to the startup life. Linden Ellis and Sara Raffa were the founding team members of Daily Harvest and helped to build what would become one of the fastest growing e-commerce startups.
So what is Coterie Party?
Simple, Coterie Party provides a beautifully designed selection of party supplies that make throwing parties and gathering with friends, effortless. They are truly a one-stop shop. Hosting a chic garden party for your friends? They have products for that. Baby show? Got it. Bridal Shower? Got that too. Everything from tableware to banners and balloons, the site features exclusive designs at affordable prices that are curated and shipped right to your door.
How did they celebrate their launch?
Well with a party, of course! The ladies hosted an interactive event at the chic Lebanese restaurant, yara, in New York’s Midtown East neighborhood. The restaurant, founded by former Porche VP Jacob Harb, provided the most perfect backdrop for the beautifully displayed content of these curated boxes.
As mentioned above, the guests had a chance to experience each of the nine curated kits themed by occasion, the boxes included: bridal bash, baby shower (in blue, pink or mint), rainbow birthday, white + gold, Mediterranean blue, ombré and garden party. A spokesperson for the brand told me that new themes will be launching soon, how exciting!
At each of these tables was a specifically placed activity for guests to enjoy; touch-ups by Glamsquad, cocktail making lessons with a yara mixologist, a DIY bouquet station with Love, Laura, a cookie decorating station courtesy of High Waisted Cookie, and, the one that stole the show, balloon designs with Twist Entertainers!
Guests were then encouraged to head to the build-you-own-kit station to take home some Coterie goodies for themselves!
Kits start at $49 for 10 people with the option to add additional guests. Their luxe kits start at $95, for some added flair. Items are also available a la carte for a more personal experience.
