Red is one of those colors that works well with every skin tone. There’s just something about red lips that instantly makes a woman feel empowered, sexy, and fabulous.
When you think of classic red lips, who do you think of? I see Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera (and, yes, Marilyn Monroe) but I also see me.
If those ladies can be brave enough to wear red lipstick, so can I…and so should you!
Red lips help you release your inner Bella. Sure, not every shade of red will work with your skin tone, so take your time selecting your best shade. Here are two tips to help:
1. Keep your skin tone and undertone in mind. If you have pink undertones, go for lipstick shades with a pink tone like berry or brick reds. Also, try on reds with blue and plum tones. If you have a yellow base skin, warm tomato reds with a brown base will work best.
(Still confused? If you are not sure of what your undertone shade is, visit your local cosmetic counter and they’ll help you.)
2. Keep the rest of your makeup neutral. No heavy eye shadow. Simply outline your eyes and add mascara.
Now that you know how to rock the look, you’re ready to face the world as the fabulous Bella you are!
