1. Best thing about growing up in NYC?
The best thing about growing up in NYC is having the world at your fingertips. It truly is the capital of the world, with many adventures I have explored, from being a high school intern at the Commodities Exchange at the World Trade Center, and bartending in the West Village before entering graduate school at St. John’s University, to working at Bellevue Hospital, the most well-renowned psychiatric institution in the country.
2. Favorite restaurant?
Beso Restaurant at 11 Schuyler Street in Staten Island has it all … great drinks and tapas with an intimate setting that makes for great conversation.
3. Favorite neighborhood?
My first job in the city was in the West Village, and I never get tired of exploring the streets and find new stores and restaurants.
4. The best part of my job is…
Working with such unique individuals from all walks of life that made NYC their home – and then helping them to survive it!
5. A visit to NYC isn’t complete until…
The High Line … and it’s free!
6. Subways or cabs?
Subway – the best people-watching in the world.
7. Best advice you’ve ever received?
“Live your life as your best self, and remember that each day your best changes.”
8. Fashion must-have for spring?
For men – Happy Socks will rock any outfit; for women – a great pair of sexy flats … I hear Victoria Beckham says they’re in.
9. What’s your definition of beauty?
Have an attitude of gratitude every day and you will radiate from head to toe.
