The Debut of Rennaissance New York Midtown Hotel
On June 2nd, Rennaissance New York Midtown Hotel had its grand debut and they pulled out all the stops for the occasion. The big unveiling showed guests how they designed the world’s first digitally enhanced, “living” hotel. As we wound our way through the event, different spaces throughout the hotel beckoned to us — the lobby featured a replica of designer Timo Weiland’s design studio, complete with fabric, machines, and styles from his collection, and included a fun photo opp. Nearby, Andrew Zimmern hosted a VIP Navigator’s Table with unique bites, like sea urchin crostinis and griddled pimento cheese sandwiches, while DJs Harley Viera-Newton, Alexandra Richards, Timo Weiland, Alan Eckstein, Franco V and Elle Dee all took turns on the turntables throughout the evening. The evening culminated with a headline performance by Wyclef Jean and The Knocks, which really got the crowd entertained and on their feet.

Familiar faces made appearances at the big debut to celebrate, including Olivia Palermo, Nigel Barker and Chanel Iman.
