Last night, Grand Central Partnership hosted their annual tasting event, Grand Gourmet – The Flavor of Midtown, at Cipriani 42nd Street. Celebrating their 30th anniversary, the Grand Central Partnership, which is dedicated to keeping the neighborhood clean, safe and thriving, donated the proceeds from the event to Grand Central Neighborhood Social Service Corporation, which provides basic necessities and a range of social services to the city’s homeless.
During the event, guests reveled in all of the delicious offering of cuisine that resides in Midtown East. Over 40 vendors participated in this tasting event, including Ben and Jack’s Steakhouse, The National, Pescatore, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, Magnolia Bakery, Bookmarks, and so many more. Unlimited drinks were flowing, and every kind of cuisine you can imagine was being served. From truffle Mac n’ cheese and pork chops to cookie dough bites and pan seared scallops. It was a packed house at Cipriani and it was a great way to pay homage the oft overlooked area of Midtown, which should not be dismissed – its culinary scene it top notch.
