Summer’s Winding Down, But You Can Get Wound Up with These Fab Cocktails

 

Need a refresher for the end of the summer? Just because the hottest season of the year is almost over (and Labor Day is just around the corner!) is no reason not to go out with a bang. Whip up one, or all, of these great end-of-summer cocktails and cheers to the summer!

Watermelon Moscow Mule
1 part SKYY Infusions Sun-Ripened Watermelon Vodka
½ lime, juiced
1 can/bottle of ginger beer
1 part freshly squeezed watermelon juice

Orange Cream Dream
1.5 parts Monkey Shoulder
6 parts Dublin Orange Dream Soda or other orange soda
Add generous scoop or swirl of CTC ice cream
Add a decorative orange peel accent

In a long glass, add a generous scoop or swirl of CTC creamy vanilla soft-serve. Fill glass 3/4 of the way with the orange soda. Top off with Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. Garnish with orange peel.

Cape Spritz
4 oz Cape Mentelle SBS
.5 oz vermouth
.25 oz ginger syrup
2 oz tonic water
Scooped melon balls

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Give it a strong shake & fine strain into a large white wine glass over ice. Top up with tonic water, garnish & enjoy!

 

Stillhouse Watermelon Mojito
1.5 oz Stillhouse Coconut Whiskey or Stillhouse Original Whiskey
.75 oz Lime
.75 oz Watermelon
.5 Simple Syrup
5 Mint leaves

Mixed Berry Sangria
3 parts Drambuie
1 part Triple sec
1 Cup White Wine (Chardonnay is perfect)
1 part OJ
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
1 part Honey
2 cups Frozen Berries
10 Dashes Cherry Bitters

Add all Ingredients to a Blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with skewered berries with basil sprig.

Andrea Correale‘s Grapefruit Collins
2 oz. Gin
½ oz. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
½ oz. fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice
1 oz. simple syrup
3 oz. of Pellegrino sparkling water
Grapefruit zest
Mint leaves

Rim glass with grapefruit wedge and dip into salt and grapefruit zest mixture. Add Gin, lemon juice, grapefruit juice and simple syrup to a martini shaker with ice, shake well, and strain into glass. Add Pellegrino sparkling water and stir. Garnish with grapefruit zest and mint leaves.

Sailor Jerry Simple Hard Milkshake
2 parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
2 parts milk
1 large scoop of chocolate ice cream
Your favorite chocolate candy of choice (M&M’s or Reese’s Pieces)

Blend together Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, milk, ice cream and chocolate with a little ice until it’s a smooth thick consistency. Serve in a tall glass with a paper straw. Garnish with more of the chocolate pieces on top.
