Outstanding food, never-ending drinks and celebrity sightings are what people have come to expect from the annual New York City Wine and Food Festival (NYCWFF). We decided to conquer NYCWFF this year like the celebs do, so our first stop was the GBK Celebrity Gifting Lounge, which welcomed the country’s top chefs and talent to learn about and discover new brands.
Here’s what we discovered:
Top sponsor Giovanni Rana set up a tasting station, where they were cooking up some of their latest seasonal pastas. Guests got to take home a gift bag full of their famous pastas and sauces.
Another top sponsor, Cali’Flour Foods is known for it’s cauliflower-based pizza crusts, that can be topped with anything you want. Guests were able to go home with iWtches with Cali’flour recipes and a 5-pack of pizza crusts.
Felix Jam, a product line imported from Sweden, produces an array of both sweet and savory jams, that are delicious as toppers for all your delicious treats. Guests went home with a gift basket of different jams, including original lingonberry, lingonberry with ginger and spiced apple cinnamon, lingonberry with blueberry and more.
Fortune and Frame is an adorable NYC-based jewelry company that’s known for its signature fortune cookie lockets, that each contain an actual fortune inside. All of their lockets contain fortunes and each piece is exquisitely detailed and really makes a statement.
HiFiMan is a tech company that produces everything from portable music players to headphones and amplifiers. Guests were able to see an array of their products and walk away with a few of their own!
L’Arte de Gelato scooped up their natural gelato for attendees (we loved the pear sorbet!) and also gifted guests with a $100 gift certificate. We look forward to stopping by Chelsea Market for another taste.
New Zealand’s Kleb Design has revolutionized the way you grate cheese. The titanium grateris is a handheld grater that is not only easier to use, but also safer and easier to clean.
You might’ve noticed John Boos products on the Food Network, but we learned all about them at the gifting lounge. They are known for their high quality cutting boards and guests were able to take home one for themselves.
Santa Ynez Valley, located not far from California’s Santa Barbara, offered guests a two night stay at one of the area’s luxury properties, along with a VIP tasting and winery tour.
Sertodo Copper displayed some breathtaking copperware in the lounge, including mugs and barware and pots and pans. The hammered copper detailing was stunning and would make a great addition to any home.
Those with pets will benefit from Pet Net, an automatic cat/dog feeder that connects with your smartphone. You can input stats like you pet’s age, weight and lifestyle so that the feeder can recommend the perfect portions for a healthy pet.
Palace Resorts was generous enough to gift guests with an all-inclusive trip to Jamaica, while American Airlines gifted talent with Five Star Access Cards. 4th and Heart Ghee gifted grass-fed ghee to all attendees, as well.
Last but not least, Wather Cutlery was on site showcasing their handcrafted kitchen knives and wood products, which date back to 1902. Their attention to quality and detail make these products stand out and guests took home a French chef knife with stainless steel bolsters and nameplate with a custom metal knife sheath.
Attendees included Whoopi Goldberg, Adam Richman, Alex Guarnaschelli, Amanda Freitag, Andrew Zimmern, Anne Burrell, Bruce Kalman, Charles Phan, David Burtka, Debi Mazar, Duff Goldman, Elvis Duran, Gabriele Corcos, Geoffrey Zackarian, Guillame Goipil, Jason Smith, Jorge Garcis, Josh Capon, Katie Lee, former BELLA cover star Lance Bass, Marcus Samuelsson, Marc Murphy, Mark Pastori, Mark Rosati, Max Emerson, Michael Symon, Pat La Frieda, Randy Garutiii, Rick Bayless, Robert Irvine, Roger Mooking, Scott Conant, Stephanie Izard, Sullivan Stapleton and Valerie Bertinelli.
