Season 4 of Bosch has just been released and we are super excited to watch. What can we expect in the new season?
Another compelling season of Harry Bosch solving crime like only he can. Great acting, writing, directing and cinematography and some twists and turns that will shock you and keep you wanting more.
Do you relate to your on screen character at all? If so, in what ways?
Sure. LaTonya is a strong, independent, woman who’s navigating the push and pull of love and the realities of her circumstances. She’s exploring her relationship with Jerry and finding a new normal. I too am strong and independent and have had to navigate the complexities and layers of relationships and make tough choices.
Do you have any other projects that you are currently working on?
Well, Season 5 of Bosch will be starting soon and I’m interested to see where the writers take my character. I’ve also been doing re-writes on a pilot script I’m developing with my husband (who’s an awesome writer/executive producer).
You follow a mostly organic, gluten-free diet. What does it consist of and when did you start this lifestyle?
I definitely eat to live, I don’t live to eat. Mostly, I eat organic egg whites, chicken breast and wild caught salmon plus lots of organic leafy greens and green juices. Pretty boring. A couple times a month though, I’ll throw down a grass fed burger with onion rings in a lettuce wrap with sweet potato fries. So yummy! For most of my life I’ve eaten healthy. Growing up, my house wasn’t the house with the Twinkies or Froot Loops. My dad was all about protein, veggies and of course, water. I’ve continued those habits of good, healthy foods and taken it to the next level, going organic and gluten free.
How do you balance a demanding job, being a mom of two kids, and sticking to your diet all at the same time?
Trust me, I don’t stick to it all the time, but I’ve learned to make it part of my lifestyle because I like the way I feel when I eat well. I have more energy and feel healthier, happier and more alert. My kids are grown now so there isn’t that constant challenge of eating the leftovers off their plates. On set, I use disciple to stay away from the food table and I’ll often bring nuts or veggies to snack on. Chocolate, however, is my weakness. It does not help that my neighbor is a third generation Swiss chocolatier. Her company is called Coco Suisse and I’m often sending her texts at all hours of the day and night, for a delivery of deliciousness 🙂
What is your go-to meal to cook?
Rosemary chicken thighs, roasted sweet potatoes and arugula salad with avocado, walnuts, goat cheese and homemade balsamic dressing. So easy and so good!
How do you define beauty?
Beauty is that energy inside that radiates out and causes you to smile at someone you love or say hello to a complete stranger.
