MTV named her “The DJ To The Stars” and Victoria’s Secret dubbed her “The Turntable Goddess.” Yet Los Angeles-based Lindsay Luv defies all the hard-partying DJ stereotypes. Sure, her Instagram feed reveals that she leads a luxe lifestyle, sound-styling hot celebrity parties. But it turns out she expends just as much energy rocking a healthy lifestyle. As she drove around Melrose, Luv shared about her new active wear line, workout series, and her LA-inspired wellness tips perfectly adaptable for New Yorkers.

Luv’s Spin On Athleisure & a Workout Series To Match

As a DJ and sound stylist for the hottest brands, Luv is always tying music to both fitness and fashion, as well as coveting stylish yet comfortable active wear to complement her busy lifestyle. In fact, the New York/LA transplant says she had been “dying to design active wear that pulled from both the sleek, noir New York style and the fresh and active LA lifestyle.”

Luv fulfilled this fashion vision with her capsule collection designed with Zobha. She chose a monochromatic palette and snuck in “music elements” like headphone loops. The all-in-one strappy back jumpsuit and sexy double-waisted joggers are sure to be celebrity favorites.

To promote the line, Luv organized fitness events with Zobha at the London Hotel in LA. She curated the playlist for workouts that have been led by celebrity fitness stars, including Shannon Decker from E!’s “Hollywood Cycle.”


About Those Workout Playlists …

Luv hopes to soon bring her series to New York, but in the meantime she shared some tips on how to amp up your own gym mixes:

  1. Focus on songs that have a strong, steady, ongoing beat like upbeat remixes of pop or mainstream songs and light EDM tracks.
  1. Avoid slow hip-hop, dubstep, and country, as well as songs with huge beat drops or highs or lows for your continuous workout sessions.
  1. Find songs that have around 124+ BPMs (beats per minute) for your most active workouts.

You’ll Love Luv’s Healthy Lifestyle Tips (We Do!)


Luv has taken her healthy habits up a notch this past year by primarily maintaining a gluten-free, organic and paleo-friendly low-glycemic diet.

To stay committed to your chosen diet, she suggests:

  1. Cooking your own food.
  2. Using spices to make dishes interesting via flavor, instead of fat.
  3. Drinking lots of water and herbal teas like roiboos.
  4. Sticking to a solid sleep schedule.
  5. Keeping everything in moderation by letting yourself indulge a bit on the weekends.


In terms of fitness, Luv takes Bar Method classes in Silverlake four days a week and swims laps in her pool. She also enjoys hiking the Griffith Park trails with her bestie, former Spice Girl and “America’s Got Talent” host Mel B, when they are both in town.
