Kimberly Hotel Rooftop: Dine and Cocktail with a View
There is nothing quite more enjoyable than special outdoor spaces that can be found throughout Manhattan. They are like gems of paradise within the concrete jungle. Recently, Bella NYC had the opportunity to explore one of these city treasures within the Kimberly Hotel.
Located a few blocks from Grand Central and around the corner from the 6 train 51st station and the E/M 53rd street stops, this is the perfect spot for a date or a night out with co-workers and friends.
When we walked into the lobby of the Kimberly, we were greeted by this gorgeous and massive fish tank. We then walked to the elevator which whisks you to the Upstairs at the Kimberly Hotel.
As we stepped off the elevator at the Penthouse Level we were transported into an outdoor oasis with sweeping views of Manhattan and premiere view of the iconic Chrysler Building. The 3000 square foot space boasts 360 degree views, retractable glass ceilings and walls. Elegant and inviting even in the winter.
Delicious cocktails and small plates with a twist are served nightly in this beautiful and intimate space. I began the night with The Electrolyte – a refreshing cocktail available in the Spring and Summer seasons including watermelon pieces, watermelon puree, pineapple, lemon juice and vodka. I was hungry after a long work day so the Kobe Beef Sliders made with wagyu beef, white cheddar, lettuce, tomato and pickles were the perfect food pairing for both my drink and appetite. Crispy Baby Artichokes topped off with grated Parmesan and fresh lemon in addition to Spiced Duck Cigars with a pomegranate dipping sauce were among the other decadent plates which were offered during my exquisite evening high above the city among the stars. In a city that offers many dining and social options the Kimberly Hotel Rooftop certainly stands out!
