It’s all about texture: “I see lots of texture. Whether you have a long hair or short, the look is all about messy, lived-in hair. Use sea salt spray and texturizing cream to enhance the waves you have.”

Lock in long layers: “This cut works well for minimal, low-maintenance, ‘cool girl’ hair. Long layers allow your look to change – with layers you can curl, blow dry straight or add volume and texture. It makes a hairstyle super versatile and easy to style as well. You can use a curling iron to create beachy waves, or use a medium round brush to make soft waves and curls throughout. If you use a big round brush, you can smooth and add super body and volume for a sexy, dramatic style. The best part: long layers work for all hair types.”

Give it a twist: “Go for a modern twist on a classic look, like a updated beehive. To get the look, prep hair with a sea salt spray. Pull hair from the sides and into a French twist. Separating the top section of hair from the rest, tease the bottom section of hair and roll it on top of the twist. Pull a few strands of hair out to give it a modern, undone finish.”

Need a little inspiration? Look to the stars. Nunzio’s “ones to watch” …

Kim Kardashian
“Kim’s hair always looks good but I really like it now that she cut a few inches off. Women always think the longer the hair, the sexier the hair, but Kim has shown that you can cut off some length and still be a bombshell.”

Carrie Underwood
“I really like that Carrie experiments with her hairstyles. She’ll wear it straight, curly, with bangs and with layers. She’s someone that embraces her natural hair texture, and that’s great, because it affords her so many options and styles to play with.”

Anne Hathaway
“She’s really modernized and reinvented the pixie. It’s classic, yet updated because it’s a few inches longer than the pixie cuts of the past. Having it be a little longer gives her flexibility without locking her in to one look.”
