Dear Ms. Janet Onuoha,

On behalf of Rutgers University, the Office for Diversity and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS) and Dr. Didier Demesmin, it is my pleasure to inform you that you have been selected to receive the Dr. Didier Demesmin scholarship towards your Summer 2015 General Biology I and II courses in the amount of $2200.00.

You have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to your educational development, as well as a strong sense of dedication to the ODASIS program. As a Rutgers University alumnus who participated in ODASIS himself, Dr. Demesmin has chosen to reward your dedication and foster your motivation. It is Dr. Demesmin’s hope that you will utilize this scholarship money towards continuing your outstanding effort in the path toward becoming a medical professional.

In addition to providing monetary support for your General Biology I and II courses during the Summer I and Summer II sessions this summer, the Dr. Didier Demesmin scholarship will offer you with the opportunity to receive practical experience at Dr. Demesmin’s pain management office in the fall. There, you will learn about the various procedures and demographics associated with the pain management specialty, observe the patient interaction skills required of physicians, and understand both the clinical and operational aspects of a medical practice. The exposure you receive at Dr. Demesmin’s practice will provide you with a more comprehensive picture of the medical profession, and we hope that you look forward to this valuable opportunity.

It is Dr. Demesmin’s wish that this scholarship money go directly towards supporting your academic pursuits this summer.

Congratulations on your achievements and we wish you continued success in the future!
