The weekend was kicked off with a launch party at The Opry City Stage in Time Square where there were more than 400 festival exhibitors, denim guru’s and guests celebrating the start of the festival, which returned to the city after the success of last year.

The denim festival included exclusive talks from industry experts, designers and innovators who answered a series of Q&As from the audience. There was also Denim Author Book Signings and a chance for visitors to meet-and-greet with the authors.

At this 2018 festival, Atelier & Repairs challenged students from New York City’s Fashion High School to transform a five-dollar T-shirt into something of their own design. The cult-favorite brand are currently working towards their mission to not create anything new, but instead transform what already exists.

Also at the event was former NFL defensive end Micheal Strahan who launched a new collection of denim as he continues to make his mark on the fashion industry. This new collection was inspired by the direction of casual fashion in the industry, and the line features lots of quality products at an affordable price.

New York Denim Days is based on Amsterdam Denim Days, and the festival dedicated to denim will be travelling to Nashville next.

The festival will be in Nashville November 10th – 11th and tickets can be bought on https://denim-days.com/usa/nashvilledenimdaysfestival/
