One of the best ways to slim down or maintain a healthy weight is by eating breakfast. Yeah, I know, it’s not exactly breaking news, but I’m just beginning to understand just how important that first meal of the day can be. For lasting energy, a cup of coffee (or three of them) no longer cuts it. Without eating something substantial in the morning, I’m feigning for snacks before noon.

Bear Naked, a natural food company, makes an amazing line of granolas and wholesome adventure foods but I was completely won over by their Almond Crisp Fit Cereal. The last few healthy cereals I sampled fell flat and tasted a bit like crunchy cardboard, but this brand is really good and is one that I will absolutely buy when my box is empty. I love the little crispy clusters with sliced almonds and coconut—delish! It’s the ultimate morning fuel that’s packed with whole grains, protein, and fiber. It’s slightly sweet and fully satisfying so if you need a little help sneaking in a healthy breakfast, this is a great start. Power to the morning people!
