Located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Treadwell Park puts the fun in this neighborhood gastropub. For anyone who loves a good beer, you can find 20 rotating draught craft beers and ciders, cask beer, and handcrafted artisanal cocktails. If you’re looking for a different twist, there’s always the “beer float” – a combination of beer and ice cream, to create a different kind of dessert. Since opening its doors last December in the space previously occupied by Neely’s BBQ, the restaurant/pub boasts an eclectic bar fare menu, compliments of Chef Stephen Lyle. We started off the meal with some casual small plates, which consisted of bacon, leek & potato soup, guacamole, and mac and cheese featuring a blend of three delicious cheeses served right in the skillet. If you love a good BBQ, the baby back ribs are not to be missed, accompanied by a side salad and potato salad. We also dined on the smoked pulled pork tacos – absolutely delicious. And, take note: the 7,000-square-foot space from restaurateur Abraham Merchant of Merchants Hospitality Inc. features a rustic vibe with a cabin-like feel (you’ll love the cozy fireplace!). Wooden picnic-style tables offer ample seating for large groups, and in addition to TVs throughout, there’s also a game room and unlimited self-serve popcorn. This spring, the 75-foot outdoor terrace will open up for al fresco dining.
