It really is easy to leave your heart in San Francisco … a recent trip reaffirmed my love affair with the Bay area. Down-to-earth locals, a vibrant social scene and an indescribable spirit make it hard to say goodbye.

I stayed at the environmentally friendly InterContinental San Francisco, which is dedicated to sustainable hospitality and is LEED-gold certified.

Not to mention the incomparable service and amenities so good that it’s the choice of President Obama when he’s in town.

While there, I also enjoyed one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten.

Chef Adam Tortosa served up a truly orgasmic culinary experience that I will never forget at the new 1760 Restaurant on Polk Street.

From the lobster ceviche and crispy octopus to the Dungeness crab maccheroni and milk chocolate ganache dessert, my taste buds were sent on a gastronomic journey from which it has yet to recover. I’m still yearning for more!
