Dr. Preminger is staying true to her roots, as a native New Yorker, she lives and practices in the city. The mother of three young children holds family above all and enjoys spending quality with her children and husband. As a woman plastic surgeon in an industry overrun with men, Dr. Preminger prides herself on being able to cater to her female patients’ needs with compassion, understanding, and honesty.
Dr. Preminger trained at some of the country’s finest institutions. Dr. Preminger graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. She later went on to receive her Medical doctorate from Cornell University Medical College, graduating in the top of her class. While in pursuit of her Medical doctorate from Cornell University Medical College she was elected President of the Cornell Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. Dr. Preminger completed her surgical training at the prestigious New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell/Columbia where she had the opportunity to train under some of the most renowned cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons in New York City.
Dr. Preminger holds a numerous amount of titles in the medical field, she won the Plastic Surgery Educational foundations arts and Science Essay Contest for her essay on professionalism and plastic surgery and has also published about ethical issues in plastic surgery. Dr. Preminger holds an adjunct faculty position at Cornell University Medical College and is actively involved in teaching medical students about medical professionalism and medical ethics. Dr. Preminger has maintained her status with several New York hospitals including Lenox Hill, Manhattan Eye, and Ear Infirmary, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and St. Luke’s- Roosevelt.
Dr. Preminger has always cultivated a passion for helping people. During her time as president of the Harvard Chapter of Operation Smile, she organized free surgeries to repair facial deformities for children around the world.
