It’s that time of year again where ChapStick is definitely a necessity. Often we say the name ChapStick, but what does that really mean? Bella NYC recently had the opportunity attend a special ChapStick workshop in NYC and get all of the details behind this iconic brand.

What was so interesting is that ChapStick also has come out with new products that will be available at Target (a perfect pairing if you ask us). There were different areas set up where we learned about ChapStick and protecting our lips from both the sun and the winter elements. Containing Omega 3-6-9 Fatty Acids and Shea Butter your lips will be youthful and nourished.

Bethany Watson

One of Bella’s favorite portions of this unique beauty experience was with Bethany Watson from Z-100. As someone in the spotlight she shared her personal tips and tricks for keeping your lips soft. She’s so gorgeous and talented so everyone was listening! She suggested using the product at night before you sleep with their new unique Hydration Lock ChapStick. This was really so helpful and after trying this new formula Bella NYC is hooked!

At the end of the experience, we learned about how at home care with a homemade olive oil and sugar scrub in conjunction with your ChapStick can really help to keep your lips super soft this season.

Bella also learned this very useful beauty tip: You can wear your ChapStick under your lipstick for a better application and a smoother look.

Guests were also treated to Essie manicures and had fun taking pictures at the ChapStick photo station! Pucker up NYC! Until next time, Bellas!

I come from a long line of journalists who taught me the valuable lesson of writing about what you love. For me, it’s all about finding that line where hip new trends meet timeless elegance – Audrey Hepburn in a bandage dress and a pair of Louboutins. Whether I’m sitting at New York Fashion Week or at a bistro table enjoying a macaroon and cappuccino, whatever inspires me, drives me. My philosophy is and has always been “It might as well be someone – it may as well be you.” Tweet me: @Danaprigge
