There are certain books that once I’m done reading them, I immediately wish I could wave a magic wand so a younger me could have had access to it. WorkParty is now part of that list!

I met Jaclyn Johnson the author of WorkParty (and Founder & CEO of Create & Cultivate), late last year in Miami when she hosted a Create & Cultivate Pop-Up for Aerie. I was immediately amazed by how hands-on she was at the event, and how down to earth and welcoming she was with everybody. It is then no surprise the amazing community she has been able to build, which in turn is now eagerly waiting for the release of her book, WorkParty on August 21st.

WorkParty: How to Create & Cultivate the Career of Your Dreams

I love a good success story full of challenges and hurdles. How could I not, if my own life and journey as an entrepreneur have been filled with ups and downs; the constant trait that Jaclyn exudes throughout the book? Resilience! The same trait that has gotten me through so many curves, and allowed me to get back up and WIN.

Jaclyn went through many disappointments early in her career… Moved across the country for a job, just to be let go. Then launched a company with a business partner that soon enough she found had made less than desirable decisions for the company (without her knowledge), prompting her to part ways. And this is where it gets GOOD, she was determined to make it and be successful, so she KEPT GOING. By the time she was in her early thirties, she had sold that company and launched what we all know as Create & Cultivate.

In WorkParty, she will take you through her journey, and show you HOW she did it. As if that was not cool enough, we also get to hear from other fearless founders like ban.do’s Jen Gotch, Drybar’s Alli Webb, Blavity’s Morgan Debaun, and more. In WorkParty: How to Create & Cultivate the Career of Your Dreams, Jaclyn shows how she turned distrust into determination, frustration into fuel, and heartache into hard work—and how you can, too!

Work Party will be released on August 21, 2018! Order your copy on Amazon, NOW!
