Gratitude and joy are two things I am going to focus on this year, especially with all of the things happening in the world around us. It is sometimes hard to really focus on these two very important sentiments, but they are both so essential to live a happy, well balanced life – hence my new year’s resolutions.

With that said, I am so grateful for another year to spread the message of BELLA and to start off 2016 with the amazingly talented–and pretty much nicest guy around–Lance Bass. I felt Lance was the perfect cover story with whom to start the year, as he is a great example of success, tolerance, joy, and gratitude. He exuded nothing but graciousness and openness during the photo shoot and interview we did recently in NYC, which made me instantly think – this is our next cover!

Since this is our Hollywood issue, you will notice a heavier focus on LA, including pages filled with some of our top celebrity-inspired favorites in beauty, fashion, and wellness. We’re also showcasing an amazing array of celebrity features, including The LA Life with Million Dollar Listing LA star Josh Flagg (love the show!), our celeb throwback to the 80s and 90s with a roundup of our favorite stars/shows, an LA Food Diary with TV star (and foodie) Hayley Duff, and so much more! This issue was a fun one to put together and I couldn’t wait to share.

I hope we are living up to our tagline, Bauty defined by you and highlighting through each and every page that beauty is truly up to you and your interpretation. I really believe that living a grateful and joyous life is one of the most beautiful things of all.
