Sometimes the answer can lie within.
In many cases, people can reduce their own neck and back pain with the proper education and habits. I often see that a person’s spinal pain simply develops from poor posture, stress, and less than ideal ergonomic conditions at work or home.
I have a conservative approach to care that begins with counseling patients about working towards better habits. I provide a physical therapy plan, which you can do on your own. It involves strengthening, stretching and basic lifestyle changes.
The key is to incorporate good habits into your daily routine to prevent the pain from returning.
I believe that an “Ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
If the prevention part is not working and despite good habits you continue to experience neck or back pain, you should seek medical advice.
