VETERINARIANS INTERNATIONAL INVITES YOU TO A NIGHT OF LIVING WILD AT HEART AND MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR ANIMALS TO DO THE SAME

 

Featuring DJ Alexandra Richards, a Luxe Bonfire on the Beach, Cocktail Reception with Christie Brinkley and Bellissima, and more at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club

 

Over 60% of human infectious diseases come from animals. The Wild at Heart Gala, a benefit for Animal and Human Health for Veterinarians International will give attendees a night of living wild at heart, while funding the organization’s programs that advocate for humane treatment and care of animals. Veterinarians International helps build capacity for enhanced animal care and healthy living conditions in communities around the world to improve quality of life, reduce suffering, and mitigate the potential for disease transmission.

Attendees will be greeted with a cocktail reception hosted by Christie Brinkley and Bellissima organic sparkling wines and spirits, then move into the dining room for a sustainably sourced dinner with Christine Evangelista and Dwayne Hill as Master of Ceremonies. DJ Alexandra Richards will start the night’s entertainment and cap the evening off with a luxe beach bonfire featuring this year’s top-rated whiskey and finest cigars, courtesy of Davidoff of Geneva. Moments from the evening will be captured for guests by The Collective You.

The benefit committee is composed of Georgina Bloomberg -Chair, Alec Sokolow, Andy Arons, Anne Chaisson, April Gornik, Christine Evangelista, Dwayne Hill, Elisabetta Bartolini, Jack Kelly, Kate Gilroy, Kyriaki Chonacas, Penni Ludwig, and Susan Rockefeller.

Honoring: 

Dr. Carl Safina, author, researcher, and distinguished award recipient for his work exploring the relationship between humans and the natural world. Safina is a MacArthur “genius” prize, Pew, and Guggenheim Fellowship recipient, and is also the author of 7 books and hosts the PBS series, “Saving the Ocean with Carl Safina.” Dr. Sylvia Earle will be presenting his award.

Christie Brinkley and Bellissima organic sparkling wine, live and silent auction featuring a trip to see Thailand’s elephants with Dr. Scarlett Magda, art from Paul Gerben and Paul Christopher, a day with April Gornik and a mise-en-scène with Toy Story creator Alec Sokolow in his home.
