Brunch is a staple activity for weekend warriors living in New York City and with there being an abundance of great restaurants within the Big Apple, there’s a style of brunch that will suit the taste buds of nearly every individual.
For a premiere brunch spot, check out Il Gattopardo. The Southern Italian restaurant is located in Midtown on 54th Street and recently announced that it’s offering weekend brunch.
The “Italian Jazz Brunch” will feature the sweet sounds from a rotating roster of acclaimed musicians from throughout the tri-state area, performing live Jazz and Bossa Nova.
The restaurant is located in the historically landmarked Rockefeller Townhouses and boasts an entranceway reminiscent of the hidden restaurants found in Positano.
Guests enter through the lower level of the townhouse, passing through a small garden with bistro tables, and are welcomed by the restaurant’s warm Italian hospitality.
The brunch menu at Il Gattopardo is designed by Executive Chef Vito Gnazzo’s. On the menu you’ll find items like ricotta pancakes, and “Uova all’Amatriciana” which are spicy poached eggs in a cherry tomato sauce with pancetta, along with the classic “Spaghetti alla “Carbonara.”
The restaurant’s full a la carte seasonal menu is also available during brunch hours.
Il Gattopardo serves The “Italian Jazz Brunch” every Saturday and Sunday, 11:30am-3:00pm.
