Fashion industry favorite Marni launches its low-cost, limited-edition collection at H&M on March 8. About 260 H&M stores worldwide and online will stock clothes and accessories by the bohemian-chic Italian label, known for its boldly colored, all-over printed designs. Of the collaboration, Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni’s founder and creative director, said, “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic, adding sporty utilitarian elements.” Marni clothes are often praised for being supremely stylish but never trendy, and the Marni for H&M collection embodies this aesthetic.

The women’s line features the brand’s signature clothing styles – pleated skirts, billowy tunics, cropped trousers, and jacquard knits – in vivid patterns inspired by color-blocking and African tribal fabrics. Funky bags and shoes, quirky scarves, and chunky jewelry are also available for women. Castiglioni reinterpreted the classic masculine wardrobe for H&M’s male shoppers, creating clothing staples in soft fabrics and colors with subtle prints.

“It’s fantastic to see how Consuelo Castiglioni coordinates her designs, matching new combinations of print and color with such incredible craftsmanship behind every piece,” remarked Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor for H&M. “The collection will arrive in stores at just the perfect time, as a lovely statement for spring.”
