A few years ago I had a writing assignment to pick my faves from the freezer section. Easy enough. What I didn’t know at the time when I signed on, was that meant I had to sample an insane amount of frozen foods and entrees. My microwave nearly exploded! Some were good and some were downright inedible. For a long time after that, I couldn’t even walk by the frozen food section without cringing. But one brand– Amy’s Kitchen— stood out above the rest back then and is still my true favorite.

As a longtime mac and cheese lover, I was excited to try Amy’s healthy take on this comfort food classic. Be still my heart – it’s fantastic! Weighing in at a mere 290 calories, the Macaroni & Cheese (made with organic pasta) makes for one super-satisfying meal when you’re on the go. It’s low in fat and high in flavor and a much healthier choice than fast food if there’s no time to cook…perfecto!
